PHT 5332C - Cardiovascular and Pulmonary IHours: 2 This course builds on foundational knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and exercise science toward developing competencies for the essential knowledge and skills required of physical therapists within the prevention and management of common cardiac and vascular conditions across the continuum of care. Emphasis is placed on the components of physical therapy practice—screening, examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, development of a plan of care, intervention, and evaluation of outcomes. Course material is integrated in patient case studies and simulation experiences.
