OCT 5125C - Biomechanical InterventionsHours: 4 This course presents the theory and rationale of competency-based occupational therapy and evidence-based interventions for clients with orthopedic deficits. Students will apply biomechanical frames of reference, evaluation, and treatment to the specific problems limiting a client’s independence in basic or instrumental activities of daily living. These performance limitations may include range of motion (ROM), strength, pain, sensory loss, endurance, work conditioning, posture, ergonomics, and other physical disabilities.
